ExxonMobil seeks industry collaboration, govt support to start carbon capture and storage project

SINGAPORE – South-east Asia’s policymakers can help breathe life into projects aimed at tackling emissions from pollutive industries by coming to an understanding on how to price carbon across the region.

Oil and gas major ExxonMobil believes a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project, based on a plan to seize emissions from Singapore’s manufacturing facilities and store them in a subsurface location in a neighbouring country, is feasible.
