Radio presenter James Max made an appearance on Jeremy Vine to discuss the latest PMQs saga which saw MP David Davis call out Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Mr Max slammed MP David Davis and Christian Wakeford for their behaviour in Parliament. Mr Max also criticised the Prime Minister “I’m furious with him!” but insisted that he would not like to see Johnson resign. The radio host insisted that the Prime Minister finish his term and clean up the mess he had made of the country.
Mr Max said: “For the most boring MP that ever existed, who has been a thorn in the side of every single Prime Minister since probably Margaret Thatcher.
“Look I’m sorry but he probably did Boris Johnson a favour along with the delightful Chrisitan walking across the Commons.
“They’ve both given him an extra lifeline.”
Mr Vine said: “Why do you say that?”
Mr Max added: “Because the thing is if you can’t be original enough to come up with a better quote and kind of steal histrionics from somebody else then you’re not really being very original.

“And the point also that we’re trying to deal with here is that we know that politicians lie.
“We know… Listen I’m not going to apologise for Boris Johnson, I’m furious with him!
“I incandescent with rage that he can be so foolish, so stupid, so idiotic!
Mr Max added: “And not to communicate more effectively with us the people and to put forward better policies.
“But on the other hand, I don’t want to see a Prime Minister walk out on an absolute mess.

David Davis tells Boris Johnson 'in the name of God, go'
“Score seagull if you like diplomacy where you come in you squark a lot, make a huge amount of mess and then fly off again.
“I don’t want seagull management to be the nature of the Prime Minister’s office
“You Boris Johnson clean it up!”
The comments Mr Max spoke of are ones made by the Former Minister David Davis who publically called for Johnson’s resignation during PMQs.
Mr Davis said: “I expect my leaders to shoulder the responsibility for the actions they take. Yesterday he did the opposite of that. So.
“I will remind him of a quotation which may be familiar to his ear: Leopold Amery to Neville Chamberlain.

“You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. In the name of God, go!”
And Christian Wakeford decided to defect from the Conservative party over to Labour, causing shock and backlash from MPs and his constituents.
A few have called for a by-election as they are unhappy with Mr Wakeford’s latest decision.
Mr Wakeford also sent a letter to the Prime Minister ahead of PMQs.
In a statement, Mr Wakeford said: “I care passionately about the people of Bury South and I have concluded that the policies of the Conservative Government that you lead are doing nothing to help the people of my constituency and indeed are only making the struggles they face on a daily basis worse.
“Britain needs a Government focused on tackling the cost of living crisis and providing a path out of the pandemic that protects living standards and defends the security of all.
“It needs a Government that upholds the highest standards of integrity and probity in public life and sadly both you and the Conservative Party as a whole have shown themselves incapable of offering the leadership and Government this country deserves.”
