A blogger has caused outrage after posing for a raunchy photo with a woman dressed as a police officer outside a famous cathedral.

The pair struck posed in front of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow's Red Square, sparking fury in Russia and eventually leading to his arrest and being slapped with a 10-day jail sentence.

Ruslan Bobiev had a happy-slapping blog, where he would prank strangers in public – including one incident where he punched a man in the back of the head.

He has also previously posted videos of himself running into trouble with police on the Moscow metro system.

One of the photos shows Bobiev and his blonde-haired companion posing for the camera together pouting at the lens, RT reports.

The second image however showed Bobiev stood in front of the domed Moscow cathedral while the woman crouches in front of him in a suggestive position.

The woman is also wearing a jacket with "police" written on the back and clearly visible, which further enflamed anger.

Boviev was subsequently detained by police on Thursday, October 30, after pulling the stunt, and has been jailed for 10 days following a court hearing. He will also be deported from Russia after serving the sentence.

He has also since issued a public apology, posting a video online saying sorry for the stunt and that he will never do it again.

Back in April, police in Bali began hunting for a porn star and her boyfriend after they recorded an X-rated video on a sacred volcano.

Veronika Troshina and her partner Mikhail Morozov, from Russia, uploaded the footage to PornHub in April.

It was shot on Mount Batur, considered one of the most sacred places on the island.

Had they remained in the country, the couple could have been charged with public indecency – which carries a maximum prison sentence of two years and eight months.
