Coronavirus conspiracy: Outbreak was leaked from US laboratory, claims Chinese media
The CGTN presenter, who is known as Mrs V, claimed COVID-19 was transmitted from abroad on an Arabic programme. Health bodies across the world, which include the World Health Organisation have said the virus began in Wuhan, China. It is thought the virus could have started at a wet animal market and been transmitted from animals to humans.
The female presenter said the deadly virus may have escaped from a US lab or arrived into China during the Military World Games in Wuhan last October.
Mrs V said on her show called ‘China View’: “The research also reported that the virus had started spreading after the Wuhan International Military Games ended in October 2019.
“So, it is expected that the ‘patient zero’ in China has come from outside China.”
This comes at a time of global anger that China has not been as transparent as they could have been regarding the source of the outbreak.

Countries across the world have called for investigations into China and the start of the pandemic.
Yesterday, Chancellor Angela Merkel urged China to be more transparent.
Mrs V also said: “It is concluded that the new coronavirus has started outbreaks in the United States for a while and its symptoms were like symptoms of other diseases, so it was easy to hide the truth.”

Zhao Lijian, a Chinese government spokesperson, agreed with Mrs V.
He said that “it might be the US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan”.
Mrs V added on her programme: “The Asahi Corp. of Japan published a report in the past days indicating the possibility of new cases of coronavirus in the United States among deaths caused by influenza infection and the US government recently recognised this possibility.”
“This news has caused a widespread debate on social media about the possibility of the virus being transmitted to China from abroad during the period of the Military Olympic Games in Wuhan, which was attended by 109 countries, including the United States.”
China’s epicentre-city of Wuhan has admitted mistakes in counting its death toll and this week raised the count by 50 per cent.
