Coronavirus panic on plane after passenger ‘deliberately sneezes on others’
A huge fight erupted on a plane after a passenger reportedly sneezed onto others nearby during a flight over the Middle East.
The distressing footage showed people near the back of the plane throwing punches as those nearby tried to stop the fight.
Passengers in full hazmat suits watched on as fight attendants attempted to break through the crowd and get to the brawlers.
As the clip continued, more passengers could be seen throwing themselves into the thick of the actions – in what appeared to be a bid to calm the situation down.
Video of the fight was uploaded to social media by Lebanon-based news channel NBN Lebanon, which claimed the fight happened on board a flight from Saudi Arabia to Beirut.
The post said: “Fuss on the plane heading from Riyadh to Beirut because some passengers refused to put gags (face masks) and deliberately sneezed into others’ faces.”
It is unclear whether anyone was arrested following the brawl and what sparked the fight.
The video was uploaded as tensions flare as the coronavirus crisis worsens across the globe.
In the UK, a north London Tesco store looked as if it had been at the heart of a riot with goods strewn across the aisle.
Michelle Davies said the North London branch was swamped with people eager to buy hoards of products, leaving destruction in their path.
Shoppers were pulling things off shelves and ripping open packaging in order to get the number of items they wanted, she added.
They were apparently filling trolleys with as much as they could, and taking multiple packs of products, leaving none left on the shelves.
The customer, who reported it on Twitter, said: "Ridiculous scenes in Tesco Colney Hatch this morning. Shelves cleared like there's been a riot".
It comes as 10 more deaths from coronavirus were confirmed, bringing the total in the UK up to 21.
