George, Louis and Charlotte ‘growing up appreciating life’ thanks to Kate’s mum
Carole Middleton is making sure her Royal grandchildren – Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte – grow up "appreciating" the natural world.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s mum, Carole, is known to be a "hands-on" grandma to Kate and Pippa's very young children.
She is even making sure the kids "grow up appreciating" life by letting them "get a bit muddy" in her garden.
Carole, who is an entrepreneur, told Saga Magazine she makes sure to lay out "activity stations" for the kids for them to get dug into so they don't "lose interest."
The mum said it is important for the children, Royal or not, to appreciate nature, which she hopes will encourage them to eat healthily.
Carole Middleton told Saga: "If I’m doing planting with my grandchildren, I like to have it all laid out at ‘activity stations’ with their own little trowel and pot so they can get started immediately.
"It’s no good calling children over to an activity, only for you then to have to fuss about looking for the right equipment and clearing a space.
"They’ll soon lose interest and slope off."
She added that it is her goal to help the children to "grow up appreciating" the world and allowing them to "get a bit muddy."

Doting Carole said: "It’s important for children to grow up appreciating nature and part of that is allowing them to get a bit muddy."
"There’s no better way to encourage healthy eating than to allow your grandchildren to see how food is grown and let them pick their own."
Carole became a grandmother for the fifth time in 2021 as her younger daughter, Pipple Middleton, gave birth to her second child.

Baby Grace gave birth on March 15 at approximately 4:22 a.m with her husband James Matthews at her side.
Pippa also has a two-year-old son, Arthur Michael William Matthews, who was born on October 15 2018.
Kate Middleton was unable to meet baby Grace straight away due to coronavirus restrictions which prevented people from separate households interacting with one another.
It is thought Kate and William welcomed the baby as the Rule of Six was implemented, visiting their family in the garden of their Chelsea, West London home.
