A huge train has derailed and ploughed into a river in Pittsburgh, US, with live photographs from the area showing scenes of devastation as rail cars hang off a bridge as others sink into the river below.
The stunning photographs were taken at Little Deer Creek, near Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, and show the remains of what is believed to be a Norfolk Southern train.
It is not yet known if any casualties have occurred. Emergency services remain on the scene.
Eyewitnesses at the scene claim they can see an as-yet-unknown liquid leaking from one of the damaged carriages.
A reporter also on-site for local media has reportedly been told the train was transporting petroleum.
There is also a heavy fire brigade and police presence, and it is believed a number of people have been transported to hospital in the wake of the terrifying incident.
