The US President has come under fire from global affairs analyst Professor Joe Siracusa over how Amercan foreign policy has played out thus far. Professor Siracusa was called on Sky News in Australia to grade Joe Biden’s record and gave a brutal appraisal of the President’s approach to international relations. He blasted Mr Biden for worsening tensions with North Korea, China and Russia.
Professor Siracusa told Sky News Australia: “In terms of substance I would say that in his domestic policy he is getting about a C+ maybe a B – .”
“In foreign policy he has got a D -.
He added: “It is all a failing grade.”
“He hasn’t reassured North Korea, he has insulted the Russians, he has insulted the Chinese with America’s strategic competition act.”
Professor Siracusa continued: “He has not moved very far on immigration policy.
“So in much of his domain where he could do something he hasn’t been able to do it”
“The world he inherited was dangerous and uncertain, and under Joe Biden, the world is still a little dangerous and uncertain. “He hasn’t relived any of these great problems and I think he’s exacerbated them.”
Asked by the host if US foreign policy was a major concern for Americans, he replied: “It is because he grounded foreign policy in American values.

“Americans who are concerned with Alexei Navalny and his human right treatment, if they are concerned about human rights around the world or what the Chinese do to the Uyghurs or in Hong Kong other places like that.
He added: “Many Americans are committed to human rights and Biden is one of these guys who is driving his foreign policy by leading it with the human rights issue.
“Which is something that is very typical of the past.”
“Not typical of most Republicans who put human rights on the backburner,” said the analyst.

“They don’t say it’s unimportant, they just don’t let it drive policy.”
“He’s driving the human rights issue for all its worth whether it’s Ukraine or Russia or China or places like that.”
The professor’s remarks came as Chinese premier Xi Jinping issued a furious statement over increases US Navy patrols in the South China Sea.
Biden has authorities US navy ships to move into the regions to back as America ally Taiwan in the island nations dispute with China.
