The Duchess' parents – Carole and Michael Middleton – also attended the sporting event but they were not sitting on the same row as the Cambridges.
When Kate and William were led to her seats in the stand, she sat down and looked to find her parents.
The moment was spotted on television as Kate gave a rare public display of affection when she blew kisses to her parents and waved just after she took her seat in the Royal Box.
In another moment, Carole was seen giving a cheeky performance as she poked her tongue out at Kate and William.
Royal fans were thrilled to see the interactions between the royal couple and their family.
One said: "So sweet, right? The Middletons have always been such a close and loving family."
Another wrote: "Yeah it is so nice to see again how the Middleton's family live. I find the the whole troupe of Kate simply magical, no wonder she is such a relaxed, warm person. Bravo to her sympathetic parents."
