‘Kooky’ Prince Charles must ‘lean into his past’ to make future reign a success

A PR Wizz has said that if Prince Charles is to make his eventual succession to the throne a success he must 'lean into his past' and become an environmental king.

Charles, 73 will become monarch after the Queen, 96, and he has always been vocally passionate about environmental issues for over 50 years.

Indeed, American PR Expert and commentator Eric Schiffer notes that when Charles began campaigning he was considered 'kooky' for his beliefs.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Mr Schiffer described the steps Charles would need to take to solidify public support.

He said: "Well, he's the OG of the environment. I mean, he was pro-environment before it was cool.

"People were wondering what was going on. He needs to lean comfortably back into his past and make sure the storytelling is consistent with that and then empower other warriors of the environment to be lifted up."

And far from risking criticism like other members of the Firm do when they engage in hot button issues, Mr Schiffer believes Charles' true environmentalist pedigree will render him authentic to the public.

He continued: "That's a strong opportunity for him. I think he also then can use that as a way to show he cares about other issues that younger people do care about.

"He has a significant benefit because Gen Z and millennials care about authenticity and he's been extremely authentic on the environment.

"He was doing it in the beginning. You know, it was kooky. It was considered kooky. That's a strong power centre for Charles. Yes. Zeroing in on many of these same issues about equality."
