Meghan and Harry’s baby daughter ‘will be a great unifier’ for Royal Family

The birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second child will be a great unifier for the Firm and the Sussexes, a royal expert suggested.

Meghan and Harry shocked the world on Valentine's Day when they released an image of the former Suits star cradling a bump, confirming their first-born, Archie, will soon be a "big brother."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave no further information about Meghan's pregnancy until the couple appeared in front of the world on Oprah Winfrey's CBS special.

Prince Harry and Meghan's bombshell appearance immediately made global headlines as the couple very publicly detailed what life was like within the Firm.

During the interview, Meghan claimed she had not wanted to live, and even suggested she was a victim of institutional racism, while Harry said he felt "trapped" as a Royal and claimed Prince Charles cut the family's security off, leaving them unprotected in Canada.

Amongst the drama, Harry and Meghan also revealed the sex of their baby.

A beaming Prince Harry said "it’s a girl," when Oprah asked, adding: "I'm just grateful to have any child. Any, one or two, would have been amazing but to have a boy and then a girl what more can you ask for?

"Now we've got our family, we got the four of us and our two dogs."

Despite the good news, the couple experienced backlash from the public and other Royals for airing their grievances on TV.

Buckingham Palace was even forced to comment on the allegations, stating Meghan’s claims as "concerning" and reiterating that Meghan, Harry and Archie will always be much loved members of the Royal Family.

Prince Harry was then forced to reunite with the Royals sooner than expected as he flew to the UK for Prince Philip's funeral.

It was here the Duke of Sussex allegedly tried to make peace, but relations are said to still be frosty, something the editor-in-chief and cofounder of True Royalty TV told US Weekly may be healed with the birth of their second child.

Nick Bullen said: "The birth of a baby is always a great unifier for a family and I’m sure all sides of the Sussex family will want to celebrate with Harry and Meghan.

"I think you can be absolutely certain that Harry and Meghan will be jumping on a Zoom call to introduce Her Majesty to her 11th great-grandchild."
