Mum who left daughter, 3, in car to strip at club ‘beat her with hairdryer’

A mum who left her three-year-old child in a car so she could strip on stage is accused of beating her with a hairdryer.

Little over two years since her arrest on child neglect charges, Manouchika Daniels has allegedly hit her five-year-old daughter with a hairdryer cord.

The 26-year-old hit headlines in 2019 following allegations that she abandoned her then-three-year-old daughter, in a car for about three hours.

In that time Daniels from Miami, Florida, was performing at a strip club in Lauderhill but when she came out, police officers were already with her daughter.

Someone had called the emergency services after spotting the girl crying and roaming around the car park of strip club Vegas Cabaret on North University Drive.

Responding officers found the crying toddler who "appeared to be confused" still wandering around the carpark at 2am before leading them to a black Toyota Corolla with toys inside.

An arrest report said the girl "appeared to be well cared for and in good spirits," and was taken in by Child Protection Services.

The child led police officers back to a vehicle that wasn’t running and had the back window cracked, according to Lauderhill police Lt. Michael Santiago.

About 30 minutes later Daniels showed up and identified herself to the officers as the child’s mother, authorities said.

“She admitted that she just left the child there briefly while she dropped somebody off, but later in the case we realised that was not the issue,” Santiago said, according to WPLG.

But court records reveal that Daniels was arrested again on Monday for further child abuse allegations, Local10 reports.

Her daughter, who is now five-years-old ,told the Florida Department of Children and Families that her mum used the cord from a hairdryer to hit her all over her back and body.

According to the young girl, the beating was punishment for acting "bad" and "not listening."

An investigator noted that Daniels' daughter had open welts and healed scars on her back.

As a result, Daniels faces a first-degree felony charge of child abuse with great bodily harm/torture and a second-degree felony charge of child neglect

A judge found probable cause for the charges and has ordered Daniels to stay away from the child.
