Prince Harry ‘panicked’ when bumping into the Queen at Buckingham Palace

Prince Harry told how he used to feel a sense of "panic" when he bumped into the Queen around Buckingham Palace.

The royal revealed he would be nervous about breaking protocol when approaching his grandmother.

In a 2018 documentary about the Queen's role as head of the commonwealth, Harry jokingly said he would feel a sense of "panic" when he bumped into his grandmother in the corridors of the Palace.

During the HBO show, titled Queen of the World, Harry is shown speaking to a number of hospitality workers from the Caribbean who were staying at the place, reports The Express.

Harry, 36, offered the group a bit of advice and revealed that he still "panics" when he sees his own gran, despite their previously close relationship.

He said: "You guys have spent way more time in Buckingham Palace than I ever have – and you’ve only been here two weeks.

"Have you bumped into the Queen yet?"

"I still view her more as the Queen than my grandmother.

Harry's advice to keep calm and avoid panic appeared to have worked, as one of the workers claimed to have had lots of "fun" at the palace.

Claudine Jeffrey from the Caribbean island of Antigua described the Royal household as a "fun place to work".

She said: "I say it’s an adventure every day because every day it is always something different.

"You never find that you are doing the same thing so that’s really amazing because I love a challenge and I don’t like to be bored.

"To find myself in Buckingham Palace, it is beyond my wildest imaginations."
