Her Majesty gave a sweet nod to her great-grandchildren, including Lilibet Diana, in her Christmas speech broadcast.

Although, it comes after royal fans believe Lilibet's parents Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were snubbed by the monarch as they were not mentioned, nor photos or clips of the pair shown.

Other members of the royal household were either spoken about or had photos and videos played as she narrated her speech to the public on Christmas Day.

The tradition of Her Majesty speaking to the public has become one of the highlights of December 25, and this year saw the 95-year-old speak of her beloved Prince Philip and their time together over 73-long years.

The Duke of Edinburgh passed away in spring this year, and the Queen's moving speech saw her pay tribute and show her lasting love and appreciation for the late royal.

She also gave a cute node to Lilibet – who was recently revealed on Meghan and Harry's latest Christmas Card photo – with the monarch welcoming her arrival along with three other great-grandchildren – August, Lucas, and Sienna.

The four were all born this year.

She made a moving speech about how much she misses the "mischievous twinkle" and "familiar laugh" of the Duke of Edinburgh, lamenting her first Christmas without her "beloved" husband.

The Queen said Christmas is thought of as a "time for children" – but added this was only "half the story"

She said: "Adults, when weighed down with worries, sometimes fail to see the joy in simple things, where children do not.

"And for me and my family, even with one familiar laugh missing this year, there will be joy in Christmas, as we have the chance to reminisce, and see anew the wonder of the festive season through the eyes of our young children, of whom we were delighted to welcome four more this year."

Although fans were fuming that some royals were left out.

They believe they were snubbed as there was no direct mention of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In her speech, the Queen praised the work of son Charles and grandson William – both in line to the throne – and said they were "admirably supported by Camilla and Catherine".

The Queen's poignant speech came on her first Christmas without Prince Philip by her side for the first time in 73 years.
