Signal issue resolved on Lakeshore West line after causing delays of up to an hour
Service on the Lakeshore West line has resumed after a signal issue caused delays up to 60 minutes Tuesday morning, according to GO Transit.
GO Transit said just after 9:30 a.m. that the delays “have ended and trains are running normally again.”
Metrolinx spokesperson Matt Llewellyn told Global News there was a problem on “freight partner tracks just west of Aldershot GO station.”
The issue was first reported just after 7 a.m.
Llewellyn said the delays were outside of Metrolinx control but they were in constant contact with freight partners who were working to resolve the issue.
Customers weren’t too happy with the news, with one Twitter user tweeting at GO Transit that delays on the line “seem to be the norm lately.”
