Thugs armed with baseball bats force Mercedes off the road in terrifying ambush

Thugs armed with baseball bats rammed a Mercedes off-road during a terrifying ambush in the middle of a residential street.

The shocking incident was captured on camera after the armed thugs blocked the car before approaching the driver with bats.

Police believe the thugs used force to bring the Mercedes to a stop before they threatened the driver and demanded money.

One man was left with injuries which police say were caused by a baseball bat, writes the Liverpool Echo.

The scary moment took place in Tuebrook on Monday (May 10) at around 8.20pm when it was still daylight, in Merseyside.

The clip, which has been shared widely online, shows two black cars blocking in the silver Mercedes near a turning.

Men dressed in black and carrying weapons approach the silver car before fleeing the scene.

The men, whose faces are covered with what appears to be balaclavas, were spotted jumping over the silver car before rushing into two black vehicles with bags in their hands.
