University on lockdown after ‘man armed with bomb’ takes hostages

Students rushed out of the university in Evry following reports that an armed man had taken hostages inside the university.

A witness took to twitter following the evacuation, where they claimed an armed person had taken hostages inside.

They said: “Armed man with a bomb in the BU of the University of Evry.”

Photos taken outside the university showed armed cops approaching the university library from the side of the building as students stood several metres away.

Armed officers were then seen storming the building.
