Prince Harry suggested in the interview with Oprah Winfrey with his wife Meghan Markle that William was "trapped" within the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex also said that his father the Prince of Wales was in the same situation.

However the royal insider suggests that Prince William has always known what his path ahead in life was and accepted it as a public service.

The source told US Weekly said: "William was educated from the very earliest age about the crucial role he would play within the monarchy.

"He's always known what is expected of him when he's eventually crowned King… He's human and of course he has moments of self-doubt.
