Woman slashed in face by knifeman who stabbed three ‘heroes’ that stepped in
A woman was slashed in the face and three others were stabbed in a horrific attack as they tried to save her from a knifeman.
In a brutal attack, a knifeman went on a rampage in a Greater Manchester pub on Sunday night.
The incident took place at 10pm at the Salford pub when the first victim was attacked outside.
Three others were stabbed after the tried bravely tried to intervene at The Stocks Hotel in Walkden.
It is understood one suffered a severe cut to his chest, reports Manchester Evening News.
At one point it was feared one of the victims had life-threatening injuries but he has pulled through.

It is believed the incident stems from a dispute which began a week ago involving two couples.
Police are scrutinising CCTV footage as part of the investigation.
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that four victims were taken to hospital.
Two rapid response vehicles, an advanced paramedic, an operational commander and the hazardous area response team were sent to the scene.
One vehicle later went to Manchester Royal Infirmary and another went to Salford Royal.
A local resident told the MEN: "It was really bad. We have been told that she got stabbed in the face."
Another source said: "This isn't a regular thing at The Stocks. If mad people want to hurt others they will do it anyway.
"None of this is associated with the pub itself. The landlord has worked tirelessly to make the pub ultra-modern and added great outdoor seating, and it has brought back a lot of customers. Sadly knife crime is on the rise everywhere."
One local said: "The three lads that got stabbed are going to be okay. I want to thank them and praise them for stepping in, risking their lives to save a girl being stabbed, and praise all the staff and The Stocks for being amazing in a situation that can happen anywhere in this day and age."
A former 18th-century farm and beerhouse, The Stocks is a historic landmark pub in the centre of the town.
In a statement, a spokeswoman for GMP said: "Just before 10pm on Sunday 23 August, police were called to reports of a stabbing on Manchester Road, Worsley.
"Emergency services attended and four people were taken to hospital, one of whom remains in a stable condition in hospital."
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault. He remains in custody for questioning.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident."
