YouTuber plunges off 650ft cliffs to his death while filming video for followers

A YouTuber died falling from a mountain while filming a video for his 172,000 subscribers.

Albert Dyrlund, 22, was hiking in the Italian Alps when he toppled 650 feet off the edge of a cliff on Wednesday, July 28, his family has confirmed.

The popular Dane had racked up several million views on a handful of music and comedy videos before his tragic death as he shot a new one.

Albert's mother Vibe Jørger Jensen told Denmark's TV2 that he was filming in Forcella Pana where Italian broadcaster Rai reports he fell from Mount Seceda in Val Gardena.

Ms Jensen said: "We are in great grief, but I would like his fans to know."

Mount Seceda is in Italy's limestone Dolomites which is known for its steep cliffs.

Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet reported that Albert died on a hiking trail between two steep and rocky mountain peeks where he stumbled filming a video and fell to his death.

It said a rescue helicopter flew the lifeless 22-year-old to a hospital half an hour away, but he could not be revived and was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

He put out a range of content from catchy pop songs including 'emoji,' 'Waffles,' 'Ulla' and 'Summer,' to chaotic challenges, according to Newsweek.
